To make our dive expeditions more inclusive we are looking at ways to make our trips more flexible and easier for you to access. In addition to our existing Join an Expedition for experienced divers and photographers, we hope the new expedition speciality ideas below offer solutions to allow more divers to enjoy world-class UK diving at Dive & Sea the Hebrides
*1 . ‘DIVE SHOW’ SPECIAL OFFER – CLUB TRIPS confirm a DiveSkye Classic booking with 6 divers!
Historically the standard club trip has been offered for 8-12 divers. For many reasons those numbers are just not possible for clubs at the moment, so we are offering a time limited opportunity for clubs to place a confirmed booking for a DIVESKYE CLASSIC EXPEDITION for 6 divers at the 8 person price per. This is a fantastic opportunity to widen your diving horizons and to enjoy the best of UK diving.
Additional to the standard T & C’s the following terms will apply. 1. Bookings must be placed and 1st deposits must be paid by 15th Nov 2019. 2.That you will share the boat with other dive groups. 3. You will share accommodation (but not bedrooms) with other dive groups. 4. Not available with Freshers Week offer or Student Discount trips.
*2. JOIN A NOVICE EXPEDITION to get your trainees dive charter ready!
Recently we have seen an invigorated diving community where much energy, commitment and enthusiasm has been put into training novices in your clubs and we would like to support you in the development of those divers. We understand that it is difficult for clubs to enable those enthusiastic trainees to gain the experience of their 1st charter expedition without ‘cramping the style’ and valuable holiday time of more experienced club members. Some clubs just don’t have the numbers to make that viable. So we are offering, small group novice expeditions. Instructors can bring their novices to join other similar instructor groups on a novice expedition. These trips would concentrate on making an easy transition into boat diving at sea, offering the time and patience for properly instructed buddy checks and dive briefings, confident entry and exits, divesites with appropriate depth and profile to ensure a confident novice experience. Combine that with just the right amount of challenge, great diving and enough interest, good visibility and life and you have developed your trainee into a competent club diver, who is ready to swell the numbers of your club expedition. We would love to assist you in facilitating that rewarding novice experience. Additional to the standard T & C’s the following terms will apply. Terms: 1. The instructor to trainee ratio must be comply with the regulations of your training agency. 2. Trainees must have completed all training and skills to have a qualification equivalent to BSAC Ocean Diver/ aside from your 1st qualifying boat dive. 3. Diving will not exceed 20m.
*3. TEMPERATE WATER TRANSITION new skills learned in the right environment!
So many enthusiastic and competent divers have never experienced UK diving, because they are unable to make that transition from warm water wetsuit diving to being drysuit and UK expedition ready. It’s not that difficult, it just takes the right environment, a bit of support and patience. So let’s fix that. Join one of our Temperate Water Transition Expeditions where you will enjoy good quality, non -challenging UK diving and given the time to consolidate what’s been learned in your drysuit endorsement course with extra and unfamiliar kit, new buoyancy skills and unfamiliar underwater conditions. Feel comfortable in taking gradual developmental steps to experience this new diving environment. Once again it’s all about choosing the right divesite, with appropriate depth and profile to ensure a confident transition experience. Combine that with just the right amount of challenge, good visibility and abundant colour and life and you have developed your warm water diver into a competent UK club diver, equipped for UK club expeditions. Additional to the standard T & C’s the following terms will apply. Terms: 1. You must have completed a drysuit endorsement prior to the trip. 2. You must have a buddy of suitable qualification and to not require a dive guide or instructor. 3. If an instructor is accompanying a group it must be at an appropriate instructor/trainee level for your qualification agency.
*4. WELCOMING STUDENT CLUBS with a DISCOUNT
Don’t forget, students are always welcome and with BETWEEN 5%-15% STUDENT DISCOUNT available we have hosted many very successful student expeditions in the past. Discounts are available on all trips from the DiveSkye Classic, to Join an Expedition or DIY DiveSkye which has been the traditional Uni club favourite.
*5. DIY DiveSkye – mix it up to suit your group.
If numbers just don’t work for a DIVESKYE CLASSIC club expedition but you want to stick with your regular group of buddies and you have a club RIB, then DIY DIVESKYE is ideal for you. You can dive when it suits you, bring non diving buddies, have non diving days, mix it how you want it! We are on hand to support your dive planning and you can also organise the odd charter to support your dive plans.
