Following the success of our first underwater photography expedition mentored with Mike Clark in summer 2024 we are excited to offer ‘SKYETIME 2025 – underwater photography mentoring with Mike Clark #2’.

Underwater photography should be fun and sharing the marine and coastal wonders that we as snorkelers and divers take for granted should be a joy. But how often does that sexy image, that you think you have in the camera, turn out to be just a bit of a disappointment, and you don’t show it to anyone!

“Last year’s successes across all experience levels, testifies that Mike’s your man to get that sorted!”

PHOTOGRAPHER TESTIMONY

“It was very refreshing to meet a photographer/guide who was very willing to share his expertise through a wide range of tips and helpful advice. From setting up my camera, choosing lenses, shooting, editing and critiquing. I learned so much!”

PHOTOGRAPHER TESTIMONY

“I wasn’t sure how accessible the week would be, I’m not much of a photographer, but Mike taught me tips, useful to me at my level and gave me the confidence to experiment. He inspired me to do more with my camera again!

2025 EXPEDITION OBJECTIVES

This expedition intends to help every underwater photographer, improve on their existing abilities, to build confidence, to encourage experimentation with those camera features you have never dared to tackle, to learn new techniques, simply, to enter the water and to have fun with your camera.

HOW WILL MIKE DO THIS?

Mike, an underwater photographer of many years’ experience, is a semi-professional photographer with extensive photographic knowledge who writes for a number of magazines. On the expedition he will offer pre-dive briefings about the dive sites of the day, helping you to decide your objectives and the best set up of your camera to achieve results. Whether its tiny nudibranchs, a scenic wreck, underwater puffins or a topside super pod of dolphins or sea eagles, you’ll have fun and his expertise! He will be available for onboard mentoring between dives and later in the day the group will discuss the day’s photography achievements. For those who are keen, he often heads out to take sunrises, secnic and susnest while ashore and he’s delighted to have company. The insights and experience you gain will help you to ‘think out of the box’ and to get more from both your underwater and topside photography, enabling you to achieve results you will be proud to share.

Mikes Mantra

‘take the ordinary and make it extraordinary’ that is what it’s all about!

WHAT DOES THIS EXPEDITION OFFER = Skyetime!

‘SKYE TIME’ ensures a great time on your dive expedition, and it is an especially good time zone for underwater photographers!

This expedition will give you the ‘Skyetime’ to set up your camera, to get comfortable in the water, to spend time ‘pfaffing’ because you can, everyone will be taking photographs. No pressure, no hurry. Snorkel for photos between dives. Topside Wildlife on Surface Interval. Topside scenic sunrise and sunset if you have the energy left. Total immersion photography underwater, topised and ashore, with no pressure. Do as little or as much as you want!

The time to be creative and enjoy what you see. Immerse yourself in the process of using your camera to catch what you see. Then after on deck, discuss your results. Get tips from Mike and your fellow photographers about what to try next time.

Shared objectives, like minded buddies = no seabed disturbance!

WHAT DOES DIVESKYE OFFER THIS EXPEDITION = Perfect Opportunites, regardless of the weather!
